Is GoDaddy a “green” company?

Choosing which particular web host to sign up with can be a huge decision and one of the things that will often be accounted for when you finally do make your decision is the amount of environmental protection that the website host offers. A lot of website hosts aren’t too bothered about environmental protection and will just continue to run their company in the way that they feel is best, without taking into account the environment.

GoDaddy however is much different and they are constantly trying to offer more environmental protection with their hosting. Although GoDaddy has thousands of web servers that will all need to be running constantly, they do they their very best to minimise the amount of power that they use, therefore protecting the environment as best they can. For example, GoDaddy has state of the art servers that run extremely efficiently, this means that they waste as little energy as possible and have a small effect on the environment.

Overall, it is great that GoDaddy offers at least some environmental protection to their customers as a lot of web hosting companies couldn’t care less about this issue and are only interested in maximising profits.

I went to the GoDaddy website and saw NO mention anywhere of environmental consciousness. GoDaddy is not listed in the top ten green hosting companies on other google searches. It almost looks as if your website is an ad for GoDaddy. I would like to know where you get your information about GoDaddy being “green”? There is SO much more they could be doing!
