Running your own self-hosted blog can become tricky once you exceed certain visitor numbers. Getting 2000+ readers a day makes some hosting companies nervous. You may even experience server downtime or weak loading performance of your blog. As the big search engines notice that too, a weak hoster may even harm your rankings!
Fortunately, in most cases you don't need your own virtual or dedicated server. There are cheaper and faster ways to get a growing blog on the road again. I've written about that in my new squidoo lens: Best Webhosting for Big Blogs: Shared, dedicated or managed server? Hope you like it!
Hallo, gute Info danke dafür.
my hosting account gets mestup alot but i always find an easy fix
I was unaware this could occur as I gain more attention to my blog. Thanks for posting this for us non-experts to work around these problems and what to look for. Thanks again!
I hope I get that problem soon.
@mike kennedy, i hope i get that kind of problem, too. and soon!
@at the author, thanks for sharing. i heard about webhosting services going haywire when you reach that much readers in a day. thanks for the tips. will definitely try some out, even if i don't have 2000 visitors. yet! =)
actually it could really harm your ranking. google webmaster tools show the performance of your site.. sp, if they can analyze it, they will use it sooner or later..
